What is a HoldCo?

A HoldCo—short for holding company—is a business that owns other businesses.

Instead of selling products or services directly, a HoldCo invests in and oversees a portfolio of companies, often providing strategic guidance, financial support, and operational expertise. The goal is long-term value creation—not quick flips.

At Clutch Consulting, our HoldCo structure allows us to go beyond consulting. For the right businesses, we become owners or equity partners—helping founders transition, grow, or stabilize their operations. We don’t run everything from a distance; we roll up our sleeves and bring the same hands-on, practical mindset that defines our consulting work.
